JAPAN EXPO MALAYSIA GUIDE

Sakurazaka46: Showcase on August 19th

  1. Sakurazaka46 will be performing at Japan Expo Malaysia Main Stage (Kaze Stage) located at Taste of Japan Zone, Piazza Area (Outdoor) L3, Pavilion Bukit Jalil from 17:00-17:45 (local time).
  2. This is an outdoor space so entry will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
  3. People who purchased the Japan Expo Official Merchandise set for “Hi! Project – Infinite Giving” charity campaign. You can gain access to the Hi! Project Charity Zone, front area at the main stage of Japan Expo Malaysia 2023.
  4. It is limited to 200 pax/day for August 19th OR August 20th. (Sakurazaka46 performance is on August 19th).
  5. There will many artists performing on the day and entry is free admission, it is advisable for you to manage your time wisely.

  4. We will distribute the hand banners for the surprise at a specific location.
  5. The specific time and location for hand banner distribution will be announced on the day of the event.
  6. There will also be a cheering banner on which fans could write their messages to Sakurazaka46. 

Entry Information

  1. This event is free admission. NO entry tickets are required to enter the venue.
  2. However, you can purchase the Japan Expo Official Merchandise set for “Hi! Project – Infinite Giving” charity campaign and gain access to the Hi! Project Charity Zone, front area at the main stage of Japan Expo Malaysia 2023. It is limited to 200 pax for each day.

  3. “Hi! Project – Infinite Giving” buyers can collect their wristbands and merchandise can be at the INFORMATION / REGISTRATION counter located at the Piazza Area (outdoor) at Pavilion Bukit Jalil from 10:30am (local time).
  4. Japan Expo Malaysia will be open 10am – 9pm (local time).
  5. Please be aware that the venue, Pavilion Bukit Jalil is a shopping mall. It will open from 10am until 10pm (local time).

Access


Japan Expo Malaysia is at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur (Not to be confused with Pavilion KL which is a different place). There’s no direct train lines going to Pavilion Bukit Jalil. However, there is a shuttle bus service from LRT Awan Besar to Pavilion Bukit Jalil.

This guide shows you how to go to Pavilion Bukit Jalil from KL Sentral and KLIA 1/KLIA 2.

Option 1: Trains
Take the train from KL Sentral to “Awan Besar” station & ride the free shuttle service to Pavilion Bukit Jalil.

  This trip will take around 1 hour & 30 minutes. Cost will be around MYR8.00.

  1. At KL Sentral, there are multple train lines, go to LRT Kelana Jaya line. At station entrance, buy a token to LRT “Awan Besar” station at ticket machine or information counter.



  2. Buy token at ticket machine, choose the “LRT Sri Petaling Line” and choose “Awan Besar”. Enter your token quantity and pay by using cash.



  3. Touch the token for entering a station. Insert the token in the slot while exiting the station.


  4. Take the train on the platform 2 towards “Putra Heights”


  5. Get off at LRT “Putra Heights” station and take the train on Platform 1B.

  6. Ride the train and get off at LRT “Awan Besar” station.Once reached “Awan Besar” station, take the free shuttle service to Pavilion Bukit Jalil.

Option 2: E-hailing (Grab car)

This trip will take around 30 minutes & will cost around MYR19.20 to MYR26.40, depending on congestion & demand.

  1. Download the “Grab” apps from Apps store / Google Play.
    Create an account & request a ride to Pavilion Bukit Jalil by selecting the “Car” option.

  2. Search for “Pavilion Bukit Jalil” and choose “Bukit Jalil Entrance”.


  3. Tips: Try to find Buddies that are going to the same event from KL Sentral & split the fare charges later. You can share the ride up to 4 people for a standard ride.

Option 1: Trains
Take the “KLIA Transit” train to “Bandar Tasik Selatan” station. From here, take the train to “Awan Besar” station via LRT & ride the free shuttle service to Pavilion Bukit Jalil.

This trip will take around 1 hour & 30 minutes. Cost will be around MYR45.00

  1. From KLIA Terminal 1 or KLIA Terminal 2, take KLIA Transit to “Bandar Tasik Selatan” Station.


  2. Ticket counter & train platform for KLIA Express station in KLIA Terminal 1 are located at Level 1.

  3. Ticket counter for KLIA Express in KLIA Terminal 2 is located at Level 2 and you will need to go down to Level 1 to board the train.


  4. Get off at “Bandar Tasik Selatan” station. Once reached “Bandar Tasik Selatan” Station, exit the station & walk to the “RapidKL LRT Bandar Tasik Selatan” station (around 5 minutes walk).


  5. Buy a token to “Awan Besar” station & enter the “Bandar Tasik Selatan”  station.


  6. Choose the “LRT Sri Petaling Line” and choose “Awan Besar”. Enter your token quantity and pay by using cash.




  7. Touch the token for entering a station. Insert the token in the slot while exiting the station.


  8. Enter the “Bandar Tasik Selatan” station & take the train on the platform towards “Putra Heights”.


  9. Ride the train and get off at LRT “Awan Besar” station. Once reached “Awan Besar” station, take the free shuttle service to Pavilion Bukit Jalil.

Option 2: E-hailing (Grab car)

Trip from KLIA 1 to Pavilion Bukit Jalil will take around 1 hour & will cost around MYR52.00 to MYR71.50, depending on congestion & demand.

Last train from KLIA will be at 24:00.For midnight transportation, you can either use Grab car or Airport taxis.

Grab car might have high demand and less drivers after midnight. Thus, you can opt for airport taxis if no Grab car driver is available.

Keep in mind that the taxis will have a 50% surcharge for any ride between 24:00 to 06:00.

Mycity pass

MyCity Pass is a travel pass that offers only Malaysians unlimited rides on RapidKL rail and bus services for 1 day and 3 days.

There are two types of MyCity Pass

  1. MyCity 1-Day pass: First time purchase: RM 15.00 inclusive of RM5 purse value in the Touch N’ Go card and RM5 card price. Minimum RM5 purse value is required to use the 1-Day Pass at all RapidKL rail and bus networks. Valid for 1 day.

  2. MyCity 3-Day pass: First time purchase: RM 25.00 inclusive RM5 purse value in the Touch N’ Go card and RM5 card price. Minimum RM5 purse value is required to use the 3-Day Pass at all RapidKL rail and bus networks. Valid for 3 days.

Note: If you already have a Touch N’ Go card, you only have to pay RM5 (1 day pass) or RM15 (3 day pass). However, you need to ensure you have a minimum of RM5 in your TnG card.


  • If you are planning to go for all 3 days of Japan Expo Malaysia/the cost of public transportation is more than RM5, we suggest you buy MyCity Pass.
  • You can purchase MyCity Pass from the RapidKL Customer Service Offices.
  • Customers are required to present their MyKad or MyTentera to any of Rapid KL Customer Service Offices (LRT/MRT/Monorail/BRT) or selected bus hubs for verification purposes and must be verified by Rapid KL Service Officer (SO) prior to purchase.
  • Foreigners can’t buy MyCity Pass.
