It’s been 9 days, huh!
I’m Katsumataharu.
Hey everyone, where did you just separate my first and last name when you read it??
I won’t be mad, so answer honestly😐
↓Today’s table of contents
・What to call me
・🐸
・🕶️
・B
I presented what I’d talk about today in my last blog,
but just as I thought, there’s a lot more stuff I wanna talk about💦
I intentionally outlined the contents like this to keep you guessing on what I’m gonna talk about
so please read slooooowly and don’t skip to the end👁️
((Wait doesn’t that mean the table of contents is meaningless now?))
Alright let’s get the ball rolling
First up is
__What to call me__
This one is just as the title says
In tast blog, I mentioned how people frequently mistake my name as Mataharu, but turns out more people thought it was a good nickname than I expected..
Of course, I’m happy just to have you call my name, so even Mataharu brings me joy as well
But during concerts, if people hear “Mataharuuuu”
everyone might end up being like “What? Where are we??”
So for times like that, I’d like you to separate my first and last name correctly lol
Btw, among the 4th gens,
they often call me Haru-san⤴︎ or Katsumata!
Haru-chan, Haru, I’m happy with anything☺︎
__🐸__Kero
The next topic is
about my favorite 🐸 character!
It’s…
Ta-daaa
A character from the picture book “Bam and Kero”
Kero-chan!
Do any of you know about him~?
I’m glad his clothes looks perfect on him 👊
It’s so nice looking how the color matches his eyes✨
There’s more to “Bam and Kero” than just the general outline of the story,
like it’ll have Kero-chan walking toward the edge of the page,
and on the next page he falls over.
There’s lots of little heartwarming gags like that in it.
Every time I discover a new gag like that, I wonder if anyone else has noticed it yet and it fills me with excitement..
When I was little, I’d read every last bit of it over and over again~
And then after many years passed by,
on a cold winter day in my first year of high school, after I had forgotten all about Bam and Kero
we had a fateful reunion✨
The moment I opened a package of yukimi daifuku (t/n: brand of ice cream filled mochi),
something about it filled me with a feeling of nostalgia.
“Hey…
Doesn’t this look just like Kero-chan’s face?”
And so I took the entire series of books that were bought for me from when I was a child, and my love for it started all over again❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
It’s the kind of picture book you can enjoy even as an adult, so I urge all of you to look for it in your homes as well🔍
I’ll do my best to write blogs that you’ll never get tired of no matter how many times you read them just like Bam and Kero💪🥸

A turning point!
This part is about the 4th gen song “Shindafuri”!
There’s a scene I’m in before the first chorus, the part that goes “Shitagau dake no yowai jibun,” in which the lenses of the glasses I’m wearing suddenly crack, and I throw them aside and start running.
Just as the term “tinted glasses” indicates, I view those glasses as a symbol for the judgment and preconceived notions other people have of me.
(t/n: the term “iromegane” can literally mean glasses with tinted lenses, but it has another meaning: a biased view or preconceived judgment)
The moment the lenses crack,
my character breaks free from the shackles that others have imposed upon me,
and takes her first step towards living her own life the way she wants it.
So when I shook off those glasses and started running,
the filming of it paired with my own actual feelings:
“I want to work hard towards fulfilling my dreams as a part of Sakurazaka46”
Each and every person, the 4th gen members included, have their own individual interpretation of this song, and the 9 of us will continue to cherish it so that more and more people can come to love this music video.
And also,
On June 25th
The 12th single, “Make or Break” was released
While I’m still just a newbie, I’ll do everything in my power to make this an exciting period for everyone!💪

Did anyone guess what this section of the table of contents is about?
As the last part of this blog, I’ll tell you about just a few of the memories from training camp~🙌
Asai also touched upon this in her blog 2 days ago, but along with Asai Konomi and Nakagawa, the 3 of us were part of Group B!!
A lot of people who have watched the documentary a lot told me,
“You guys seemed like you were so close!” or “You looked like you had a lot of fun!”
But the truth is, we had barely spoken to each other before the training camp, and at first I don’t feel like we really got to know each other very much💭💭
##One time, when we left the room to go to the rehearsal room
Even though on the first day it was like,
“Konomi-chan, thanks for locking the door for me”
“Sorry you’re always locking it for me..🙏”
Before you know it, it was more like,
“Wait, did anyone lock the door!?”
“Ah, dammit I forgot. It was left unlocked..”
“Hnng oh well”🏃♀️➡️🏃♀️➡️🏃♀️➡️🏃♀️➡️
Whatever happened in such a short amount of time?
O-of course
I totally went back and locked it properly.. ?🏃♀️➡️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🫷
But,
Whethers it’s in practice, or outside of practice, we always spent our time together and formed a relationship where we could say anything to each other without holding back
Someday I’d like to hang out just the 3 of us!
(It’s too embarrassing to tell them this face-to-face so I’m inviting them out via this blog🫣)
During break↓
Of course, the B in Group B
Is the B from “Bird”
Jk
It’s the B from “Best”😊
I have sooo many memories with everyone in the 4th gen, but if I kept writing about all of them, it’d be so much it’d crash the website, so I’ll have to post it over the next few blogs
__Tomorrow’s Blog__
Neo!
During Episode 3 of the documentary, when we were cooking,
Neo and I were in charge of preparing the stir-fried vegetables.
I handled chopping the cabbage, Neo handles chopping the carrots
Each of us was like,
“Ain’t this cabbage as big as a world map?”
“Jeez, I was just thinking this carrot is long enough to be a relay race baton”
We were both complaining together😬
But later on, accompanying a picture of stir-fried yakisoba that has a lot of cabbage in it,
I suddenly got a message from her that said,
“I was reminded of when Haru-chan was making it🫣”
So I’ll be passing the baton on to that very same cute Neo🥕
__Starting this Sunday!
I’ll finally be participating in meet & greets!
My first online meet & greet will be on Sunday, 6/29
Thank you so much to anyone who comes to meet me🙇♀️
I have so much confidence in my reflexes that I’m sure I can catch my phone on the way down if I drop it,
So even though we have a limited amount of time, let’s talk as much as we can~
Please tell me all about yourselves as well🙌
Thanks for reading until the very end.
My next blog will be on Sunday, 7/6 on Salad Anniversary Day!🥦🌱🌱💚
(t/n: some kind of “holiday” of sorts. From some cursory googling, it seems it’s derived from the namesake of a 1987 poem by Tawara Machi, a poet and writer that was popular around then)
See ya next time~💫
