Summer and winter (Yamakawa Ui) (2025.07.11)

Good evening 🌙

I received the baton from Hii-chan, who’s currently obsessed with collecting puffy stickers 🫧


I’m Yamakawa Ui, a 19 year old from Miyagi.




Before we knew it, the weather’s gotten so hot already.

If it’s already this hot in July, I’m a little worried about how it’s going to be from here onーー 💧



But, summer is actually my favorite season 🌻

I received a question asking about my favorite season in a letter! Thank you very much ☺︎



I like to be in a nice and warm environment.

In fact, I like it when I get a little bit sweaty



Whenever I get to feel the summer vibes form the warm sunlight
I’d be like “This is so fun~ I’m so happy~.”

People have said that it’s unexpected,
But I prefer hot weather than cold weather 💭










Even though I’m from the Tohoku region, I’m super weak to the cold ❄️






When I still lived in my hometown, I always thought that Miyagi’s winter might be a bit too cold for me
And longed for the warm summer.



But what I’ve learned since moving to Tokyo is,


Tokyo’s winter is quite cold too… 🥲



The winter that I spent after getting used to my new life
Was a full-fledged cold winter


I heard that it doesn’t really snow in Tokyo, but before I knew it, the first snow had already fallen


As per usual, I spent every day staying indoors unless I really had to go out to do something 🍊



However, the illuminations I encountered while strolling around the city at night was really beautiful

There were many moments that made me think winter might be nice too ☺︎


Because I couldn’t stand the cold
I’ve never really had any affections toward this season, but,

I really love the atmosphere of the city decorated with illuminations that only happens in winter.

Even the simple walk home felt special,

And I can forget the cold because I was being distracted by the beautiful lights 💭



But because of how much I loved that, as soon as New Year’s came and the illuminations disappeared
The townscape looked sad, even though it was just returning back to normal

The cold would get even more intense,
And I wished that the lights were on all year round

But the fact that there’s a time limit for them
Makes this extraordinary experience even more special and lovely, right?



When something special becomes something ordinary
It might also be a sad thing in itself, don’t you think 🥲










Is it just me who’s starting to miss winter a little now? ❄️

🌸 My first appearance on “Soko Magattara, Sakurazaka?” ⊹ ࣪ ˖


The 4th generation members finally made our appearance!
Were you able to see everyone’s charm? ☺︎

I hope that you’d come to like all of our members who are dazzling and overflowing with uniqueness even more through it ✨






“Forgetful”, “Obtuse”, “Too laid-back”, “Has a poor sense of direction”…

Were what I wrote to describe my own personality, but I still ended up answering with Murai-san’s name for the question “Which senior member do you think you’re similar to”?
And even after the recording ended, that made me feel like I’ve done something rude on my first appearance,,,

But even so, Murai-san introduced me with a smile, and I was reminded once again of her kindness, thinking “Ah, what a wonderful person she is…” （ ; ; ）



I’ve participated in some more recordings after that, and I really felt the warmth of the seniors, the two MCs, and the staff every time 🥲

I’m determined to stop being so passive as soon as I can and I’ll do my utmost best to liven up the show even if just for a little!!

🌸 12th Single BACKS LIVE!!
I was given the chance to watch the concert ✨

As expected, the seniors’ performance was really cool and cute, and each and every one of them shone brightly…!!

“Minato-ku Parsley” is such a stylish and lovely song, and the more I listen to it the more fascinating it becomes, it’s really addictive,,,


Whenever I’m watching the concert, I’m alーways torn between looking at the seniors’ smiles on the monitor or burning the sight of the real them to my memory 🥲

In the end, I couldn’t pick between them since I want to do both… This always happens, so I’m always busy during concerts 💦


I’m sure you can relate to that, right 😖🫶🏻

It’s such a wholesome dilemma, isn’t it 💭




We are truly honored to be able to stand on the same stage as our seniors at the Tokyo performance of our 5th TOUR 2025 “Addiction” in just two weeks.
As we will be participating in the live performance as part of Sakurazaka46, all of the 4th generation members will do their best to show a performance that does not put shame on the group!!

Our youngest who hates vegetables, Momo-chan, will be in charge tomorrow 🍑
During our training camp, whenever a vegetable that Momo-chan didn’t like was served, Ui-san, who was sitting next to her, would eat it for her 🤫

Her cool image is attractive for sure, but pay attention to her cute side as the youngest member as well 🫶🏻
