Good EveningšŸŒ™

I am Sakurazaka46’s fourth-generation Nakagawa Chihiro
18 years old from Nagasaki ⟔.·

Thank you so much for all of the 10 performances for Shinzanmono in November!

To the people who came to the venue, watched the live stream or live viewing, I want to express my deepest gratitude  to all of you from the bottom of my heart

At the beginning, as we were all just beginners, we were all worried whether we could do the setlist

But as we practised desperately together every single day, little by little, we gained confidence, and we steeled our resolve to take on the huge challenge that was Shinzanmono

During this Shinzanmono, I had the honour to centre “Samidareyo” and “Udagawa Generation”!

I’ve always loved ā€œUDAGAWA GENERATIONā€, especially because it was so memorable to see our seniors performing it with such joy. When asked which songs we wanted to perform, this was often my answer, so I remember feeling my heart leap with excitement when I learned I would get to perform it

Since there’s a solo part at the very beginning, I thought it was really important to capture the attention of the entire audience right from the start, so I studied it a lot. I’ve always felt that my expressive abilities were lacking, but being given the honour of serving as the centre for this song made me feel like I was able to grow a little

“Samidareyo” was the song assigned for us during the training camp, and it saved me when I was feeling like I would give up
This song doesn’t just express sadness , it also gives you the strength to move forward.
I wanted to express it in a way that could share that strength with everyone watching, so I performed it with that in mind

The solo part at the very beginning,
the first time I sang the full song, my voice wouldn’t come out.
After performing ā€œSeijaku no Bouryokuā€, my breathing was all over the place, and singing the solo part of the next song was nerve-wracking, but I wanted to deliver my voice to you, so I did my best.
From now on, I will keep working harder and harder so that I can deliver a stable singing voice. Please keep watching over me!

During this period, I faced a lot of different emotions
There were times I was feeling down, and there were times I let my weakness show

But I was able to go through all 10 performances, because my eighth fellow fourth-generation was there with me

Everyone in my generation is truly hardworking, and seeing their efforts makes me want to do my best, too
Having eight teammates who can work hard together, all aiming in the same direction, is my greatest treasure
I want to keep growing and improving together with all of them from now on!

It was really, really fun
The view of the glow sticks from the stage at Milano-za was so beautiful, and seeing it at every performance made me so happy
I feel sad knowing that I won’t see it anymore

Being on stage gave me so much energy, and it made me realise once again just how important the Buddies are
To everyone who has always been watching over us, thank you so, so much

From now on, I will continue to work hard so that I can stand on stage proudly as a member of Sakurazaka46
