I am Katsumata Haru from 4th generation.
The MV for our 14th single, “Dried Fruits,” was recently released.
This time, it was the first time that I joined seniors and was able to take part in creating a work together with them.
I was chosen for the position that is called the front-row, and I’m sure some of you might be questioning why.
When they first told me the formation, I thought, “Is it really okay for me to be there?” Since I’ve looked up to this group for so long, I was terrified of ruining it.
To be honest, I sometimes feel pathetic with myself for feeling anxious about it, and for not having improved enough in the time until now.
Even so, as I spent more time together with everyone during this period, my admiration for each one of them grew stronger.
While watching the dance videos we recorded that day, I would think things like,
“That movement here… That expression…”
“It’s so wonderful, I want to try to imitate that.”
Before I knew it, spending time thinking about those things became something I looked forward to every day.
To tell the truth, the feeling of wondering, “Am I really the right choice for this?” and being sorry is still lingering.
But at the same time, my desire to get closer to everyone and to create something incredible together with them has grown even stronger.
That is how full of charm everyone around me is.
I’ll never forget how grateful I am to be in such an amazing environment.
I want to continue doing my very best even though I may feel lost at times and stumble again and again.
Please give me a chance.
During this period, I will definitely find the meaning of my presence and contribute to Sakurazaka46.

I have it carefully saved in my camera gallery. 🕶️
Seniors also invited us by saying things like,
“4th gens, let’s take pictures!”
And “I’m so excited to shoot the MV together.”
They are so genuinely kind and admirable seniors.
I would be happy if I could learn many things from them and also talk with them even more from now on!
