Despite that, Riko has harbours a competitive streak and hates losing even in trivial matters; she always gives her best in anything. Despite joining Sakuzaka46 without any prior dance experience, Riko astoundingly took the center stage in one of Sakurazaka46's most challenging choreography, Nagaredama. Riko also has an amazing talent in music and can play the drums and also the clarinet, which she has showcased on the group's variety show, "Soko Magattara, Sakurazaka?".
