Typical 4th Gen Things (2026.05.28)

Only five days left until the 4th Gen Live.

 

We’ve basically spent nearly every day together over the past year.

 

So suddenly, I found myself wanting to write about some “Typical 4th Gen Things”!!

 

You’re curious, aren’t you~?

“Typical 4th Gen Things” Written by Katsumata ✏️

 

・Every single one of us turns up to lessons carrying a 2-litre bottle of water.

Our seniors are often shocked and would say,

“That’s loads of water!” “Isn’t that heavy? lol”

Incidentally…

The girls with tiny bags usually end up carrying theirs by hand on the journey 🚌

 

・During the Shinzanmono period, ramune sweets became a huge hit with us! 🫧

Especially on days where we were constantly learning choreography for new songs, it become the norm to see nine 2-litre bottles of water and nine-person’s worth of ramune candies lined up across the desks.

And whenever someone brought in a new flavour, everyone would crowd round asking to swap one piece each.

 

We’d even compare glucose percentages, saying things like,

“Mine’s 90% glucose, actually.”

 

Especially Wako-san. lol

 

・The whole “2-litre water & ramune” craze has settled down a bit lately, and now everyone tends to bring their own signature item instead.

Fizzy drinks, bubble tea, coffee ☕️, vegetable juice 🥤, 🪽, 🍫, gummies, soy milk, the ever-present ramune… and plenty more besides.

Thinking about it now, I can instantly picture an item for each of the nine members!

Try guessing too; you’ll probably think, “Oh, that’s so her,” won’t you?

(Though, to be fair, several members have more than one signature item.)

 

Anyway!!

At the 4th Gen Live,

I think you’ll also really get to see the individuality each of the nine 4th Gen members brings to our performances.

 

Alongside the unique “Sakurazaka46-ness” we’ve learned so much about from our senpais, we also want to deliver each person’s individuality and our own flair.

 

With those feelings in mind, all of us are working hard in rehearsals whilst facing the same direction together.

If you look closely at this photo, not only can you spot Momo-chan, but Hiiro is also happily tucking into some isobe mochi, and that’s exactly why this is one of my absolute favourite photos!! lol

 

Sweet-and-savoury food really hits the spot after moving around loads, doesn’t it~~
