I’m 4th generation member Nakagawa Chihiro

The senbatsu for “Lonesome rabbit”
was announced on Soko Magattara, Sakurazaka?

 

 

 

I have been selected to be in the line-up for “Lonesome rabbit”

When it was announced, I didn’t expect that my name would be called, and so my mind went blank and I wasn’t able to give a prompt response

I’m sure that none of the Buddies imagined it either

 

 

 

I’m sure that there must be a lot of people who have doubts about me being a senbatsu member

I, myself, have many times thought that I am not worthy of being in the line-up of the title song member

 

 

 

Since the announcement, I have been thinking of the reason why I was selected, but I still haven’t found the answer

I will give my best effort to find that answer in this single period

By the time this period end, I want to have grown so much that both me and all of the Buddies could understand the reason why I was chosen

I am sure that there must be plenty of opinions about it,
but I am prepared to accept them all so that I can use it to help my self-improvement

 

 

 

Though it’s been a slightly gloomy talk,

Senbatsu is a place that I have long for, a place that I was always aiming for
I am very happy to have been given the chance to do my activities in such a place

Here I declare that I will stop making excuses such as
“I don’t have confidence” or “I hate myself”

and instead do my activities with confidence and pride!

 

 

 

After the announcement, my seniors gave me many kind words of encouragement

 

When I shared my worries, they said that they are willing to practice with me as much as needed,
and told me that I can rely on them if anything happened

Whenever I feel like having a rough time, just by remembering the words they told me slowly fills me with a warm feeling

 

And my genmates are also quick to reach out to me
even though I am sure they each has a lot in their minds as well

Yet they spoke with a smile,
and it made me feel glad to have been their genmates

 

 

 

 

And above all, to all of you who have always supported me

I have been imagining how you would react when you find out
I’m always the one who received so much,
so I’d also like to make this period one where I can give back to you

 

I’d be happy if you could continue to watch over me from close by

I look forward to your continued support in the 15th Single as well
