Departure (Yamakawa Ui) (2025.09.30)

I received the baton from Hii-chan for the last time 🥲


I’m Yamakawa Ui from the 4th generation.











The other day, Inoue Rina-san from the 2nd generation announced her graduation.





We were told “Inoue-san has something to say”, the way she stood up from her seat and looked directly at us
Gave me a feeling on what she was about to say next, and right then

I found myself wondering what to do so I can avoid that moment and just let the day end as is.



After finishing the Kyocera Dome performance, we formed a line to ask her to take a picture with us
And she accepted us all with a kind smile, saying “I’m still gonna be here”

The special photo of just the two of us, that feels as if the whole warm atmosphere had been captured by the lens, will be a treasured memory for me forever.



I can’t shake off the sadness,
But we shouldn’t be in a negative mood as we will be seeing off Inoue-san who has made a decision to move forward.


I want to be a reliable junior member who can see off the seniors, starting with Inoue-san,
So that the group that they have cherished and protected can embark on a new chapter without them having to worry.


In this limited time I have, I will be following in her footsteps closely and working hard every day to show her how much I’ve grown, even if just a little. 🌸

I’ll be talking about my hangout with Hiiro, which I touched upon on my previous blog 👒


I made a promise to go to a cafe together with Hiiro, and she texted me saying there’s a shop she wanted to go with me to
And then we celebrated my birthday in that really wonderful place 🥲🫶🏻


We left the shop feeling really satisfied and went for a walk

Then, we saw advertisements for sweet potato sweets lined up and we were completely enveloped in an autumn atmosphere, but then I suddenly spotted a sign for hiyashi chuuka (chilled noodles)

We realized that we haven’t got the chance to eat it yet this year, so we went in the place as if we were sucked in 🍜



It’s been over a year since I last ate it, but it’s just as good as I remember

I was able to eat hiyashi chuuka right before the summer ended 🎐 lol

It’s all because of Hiiro! Thanks 🫶



I also made other promises with the others, but it rarely came true as I’m too much of an indoor person… （ ; ; ）

I like staying home, but of course I like going out with the others too, so I hope I can do various things outside with everyone 💭

I’ll set this as one of my goals as a 20 year old!

The song was released on streaming & download platforms on Friday the 26th!

And I have also been selected to be the center for this song, which is the 2nd song for the 4th generation.



When our positions were announced, I wondered if I really was the right person for this, and I felt ashamed of myself for thinking that I’m not worthy for the position.


However, after those anxious thoughts faded, what came into my mind was

How happy my family, friends, and everyone else who has always supported me would be when they find out about this.


Once again, I realized how truly blessed I am
To be able to share this wonderful news with you, and to be surrounded by people who will surely be more delighted about this than I am.


With all the expectations placed upon me, I will approach this song with the firm resolve to make it a wonderful song that will exceed those expectations.




For the 4th generation’s 1st song, “Shindafuri”, Momo-chan was selected as the center.


The weight everyone carries within themselves varies greatly from person to person, as does their capacity to bear that weight, so it’s not something that can be easily compared

Still, I believe Momo-chan was carrying a burden far heavier than most when she stood in that position


And Momo-chan transformed the pressure she felt into growth and strength, and fulfilled her role as center wonderfully 🍑

Our youngest member, you were so, so cool!



To be honest, I’m not yet completely confident
That I can successfully take over the baton from our youngest member and super track-and-field athlete, who I’m really proud of

But now I will do my utmost best to pass on this baton I have received to the other 4th generation members!


I’ll work really hard so that people will not regret placing their trust and support on me, so please keep watching over me

I’ll be in your care! 🌸

With that being said, this blog marks the last of the relay blog posts that have been going on since June 🥲


We will be starting our personal blogs
So it should be a new beginning for us, but hearing the word “last” makes me feel a bit sad





I was thinking back to the fact that my introduction vlog and profile were also the last to be posted,
And then I came across really nostalgic photos

I’ll post them while I still have this chance









I look kind of childish here…?




It actually took quite a bit of effort to climb this far up 🤫 lol






I keep coming up with things I want to write about
This is tough


But I can post whenever I want from now on anyway~
