❀Name

 

I’m Sato Neo!

My name is written with the characters for “love (愛)” and “cherry blossom (桜)”, and it’s read as “Neo”! 

My parents gave me this name hoping I would become someone who’s loved by many, like cherry blossoms in bloom 🌸 

I like the kanji version of my name (愛桜),

but I also like how my name looks in English “Neo” ☺︎

It’s a bit of an unusual name, but I’d be happy if you remembered it♪

 

❀Hometown

 

I’m from Saga Prefecture 🍊

Actually… I was born in Fukuoka Prefecture 🍓

My mother is from Fukuoka, and I spent the first month of my life there☺︎

Since then, I’ve been living in Saga Prefecture! My grandmother still lives in Fukuoka, so I visit her often♡

It’s like my second home☺︎

Saga is full of nature and has a lot of delicious food, so I’d be really happy if you come visit someday♪

I also love the neighboring Fukuoka and Nagasaki prefectures since they have so many wonderful places❤︎

Since many of the senior members in Sakurazaka46 are from Kyushu, I’d love to visit places I haven’t been to yet, like Miyazaki and Kagoshima♡

You should all come visit too☺︎

 

❀My Birthdate

 

It’s December 1, 2006, I’m 18 years old! 

 

I don’t have anyone my age in the 4th generation, but I am in the same age as 3rd generation members Matono Mio-san and Mukai Itoha-san ☺︎

I’d love to become friends with them someday and go hang out or grab a meal together❤︎

 

❀My hobbies

 

Taking walks and watching movies and dramas🎥

 

When I go for walks, I like strolling down unfamiliar roads without thinking about anything~🌼

It’s fun because it feels like I’m walking through an unknown world ♡  

 

As for movies and dramas, I watch a lot of different genres, but zombie films are definitely my favorite… 🧟‍♀️

On June 12th, we, the 4th generation of Sakurazaka46, 

held our “First Showcase”.

 

Thank you so much to everyone who came to the venue, watched the stream, and spent their valuable time with us 4th generation members!

 

There were lots of things that happened, like showcasing our special skills and live performances, but did you all enjoy it~?

 

I got to play the violin during the opening and the talent showcase, but I was so nervous that I didn’t play as well as I’d hoped, and I was left with some regrets…

There were a lot of things I reflected on, like wanting to play Sakurazuki properly next time…

I’ll practice more and hope I get the chance to redeem myself someday🎻

 

During the live performance, I was the center for “Seijaku no Bouryoku,” which was the assigned song for our training camp.

I also performed this song during the audition, so it’s a song that’s very special and meaningful to me.

 

I already knew just how expressive this song is, so when I drew the center position by lottery, I couldn’t help but feel worried that by me being the center, it would lower the incredible impression that the 3rd generation members left with their version of “Seijaku no Bouryoku”?

The original center, Yamashita Shizuki-san, had such an amazing way of expressing the song and it’s something I don’t have and can’t replicate… I thought about a lot of things such as these, and honestly, I was really anxious and scared.

 

Because there’s no clear “right answer” to this, I didn’t know what to do. All I could do was dance.

I didn’t know what it meant to be myself or what was expected of me.

I couldn’t see what lay ahead, and I spent a lot of time feeling lost and unsure…

 

Up until then, I had been constantly overthinking, but once I stepped onto the actual stage, I felt something I’d never experienced before, a strange, almost empty feeling, like my mind had gone blank. As I performed, I could also feel the energy of everyone behind me.

And somehow, I felt like we were able to deliver

a version of “Seijaku no Bouryoku” that only we, the 4th generation members, could express.

 

I can’t forget the sound of the applause from all the Buddies that reached us from the stage. Even now, when I close my eyes, the emotion of that moment comes rushing back.

 

I’m truly glad that I didn’t give up, and kept facing the challenge of “Seijaku no Bouryoku”.

Thank you very much for letting us share such a wonderful version of “Seijaku no Bouryoku.”

 

To all the Buddies who always support and cheer us on, to the staff who have guided and supported us, and to our seniors and the 5th generation members of Hinatazaka46 who made time in their busy schedules to come and watch, thank you all so, so much from the bottom of our hearts!

 

And thank you so much for joining us for the send-off after the live show as well.

It made me so happy to see your handmade goods and have a little chat with some of you, thank you for such a heartwarming time♡

“Make or Break” is super cool and is such an amazing track!! Matono Mio-san as the center was so cool and captivating 💙

I’ve been listening to it on repeat!

There’s still a lot I want to write about the MV…

But this is getting too long, so I’ll save it for another time…

 

Tomorrow, it’s going to be Nakagawa Chihiro-chan!!

 

Perhaps Chii’s  (Nakagawa Chihiro-chan) bird buddy will make an appearance too…? ☺️
